Difference between information and knowledge

I have read a story and i'm blogging that not always knowledge will be right sometimes decision taken in hurry can regret you afterwards .

Long ago, a group of wise men packed their worldly belongings and set off on camels, deep into the vast, vacant desert, in search of knowledge. they travelled for many a year, till at last, exhausted and completely disheartened that they had made no progress, they threw down their backpacks and loaded up to the heavens and begged god to show them the way. Suddenly the heavens turned dark and lightning flashed and they heard an oracle from amidst the clouds. "Go forth, my people, into the night and search and collect as many pebbles as you can, and in the morning will be revealed to you great sadness and great joy." And suddenly it was bright again. The wise men were completely bewildered. "Is this the true meaning of life-the knowledge we have been searching for?" they dejectedly asked each other. Completely disillusioned they got back on to their camels and rode on, picking up a few scattered pebbles on the way. Till at last when they could ride no more, they set camp and lay down for the night.
In the morning when they awoke, they opened their knapsacks and were astonished to find that the pebbles had turned into diamonds. And then they recalled the words of God. yes, great happiness that their pebbles had turned into diamonds but yet great sadness because they had not picked enough pebbles.
At every step of our lives there are these pebbles of information all around us, waiting to be picked. We need to realise that they are there, stop and pick them up. Most will not seem important at the time. but someday in the future when the need for that information arises, the pebble turns into the knowledge we seek.
